A few hours at the Qutub Complex
A few days ago, I went to visit one of Delhi’s most famous landmarks – the Qutub complex, which contains the Qutub Minar, amongst other monuments.
Located at Mehrauli, this place is famous amongst locals and tourists, from India and beyond. So, I went there too, armed with my camera, a few days back, to get a first hand feel of the place.

ReplyDeletenot sure if the word would be proper, but my mind can think of no other word than "charming"
ReplyDeleteThose are some fantastic photos! I envy!
ReplyDelete@ Ice Maiden... Thanks, and you'll have to come down to Delhi to enjoy the real thing. It's a splendid place to go too, I'm a lil sad at having missed that place for such a long time... still, better late than never :)

@ Shivani... Thanks... and being from Delhi yourself, I'm sure you've been to that place...?
ReplyDeletewonderful shots...i love all the old stone architecture...there is peace in the stones, and wisdom of the ages...
ReplyDelete@ Brian... It sure was a wonderful place, but it was way too crowded to my liking. That's why, I've been searching for a place that's left a little more untouched than this. Kinda found a place like that too, just have to go exploring that part to my heart's content now...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics!!
ReplyDelete@Iddy
ReplyDeleteI've been there 2-3 times but I was a kid then. Have faint memories of the place.

@ bondgal... Thanks :)
ReplyDelete@ Shivani... It's worth a visit, although the only thing that becomes a put-offer is the crazy crowd there. Becomes so difficult to take a decent picture sometimes, people just keep showing up in the frames! :D
ReplyDeleteThere's another place nearby, the Mehrauli Archaeological Park. Went there just once, have to go there at least twice or thrice more to get the full picture of that area, but it's definitely one place you shouldn't miss. Especially if you're a ruins buff :)
Cheers...

Great shot. You are right. It is so tough to click a decent snap there as it is so crowded and people just pour into the frames. Hats off to u!
ReplyDelete@ Swapna Raghu Sanand... You've been to this place too? Then you must know exactly what I'm talking about... thanks, but I'm sure you'd agree that to some extent, I did get lucky :D
